What is the DeNamiK Service Wrapper?

Some applications, especially client-server applications, have the need to be active all the time. This can cause problems for applications which are released without the ability to be a service.

DeNamiK brings you the Service Wrapper, which can launch and control different predefined applications.

What’s new in release 2.0

Well one of the biggest improvements must be starting applications impersonating users and a graphical user interface to change the configuration. The DeNamiK Service Wrapper has been rebuild from scratch which resulted in dozens of minor improvements, bug fixes and cosmetic changes.

Release 2.0 notice

With the 2.x release DNC IT passes the DeNamiK Service Wrapper service over to her sister company DeNamiK. DeNamiK will take care of future releases, if necessary, and will provide support “as is”. If you installed the DNC IT Service Wrapper 1.0, please copy the DNCSvcWrap.ini to a save location, remove the DNC IT Service Wrapper 1.0, install the DeNamiK Service Wrapper 2.0 and move the DNCSvcWrap.ini to the installation folder of the DeNamiK Service Wrapper. As final step you will need to start the DNKSvcWrapSetupHelper.exe, the DNCSvcWrap.ini is automatically migrated to the new configuration.

Please note: to run this service successfully you will need to install the .Net Framework 1.1 service pack 1 or higher (standard in Windows 2003).
